Hey Yall - Come Have a Hay Day with the Horses!

Want to get some more hands on time and make some equine friends? Twice a month we will be opening the barn doors to friends who want to come learn about horse/pony care, whip up some classy equine art and enjoy a walk thru the woods with a new equine friend.

This class is great for anyone who LOVES HORSES. This morning is all about being WITH the horses and having lots more hands on time than you do at a riding lesson. Bring your camera & sketch book if you would like.

We will be grooming, bathing, walking, feeding our new friends and tidying up some stalls.  Each session we will create a great piece of art as we take turns walking the horses thru the woods.  Some friends may choose to ride some may choose to lead their new horse friends.

Bring a picnic lunch, extra drinks and yes... an apple or carrot or two! Along with a riding helmet or a bike helmet.  We do have some extras here.

price: $75   age 6 to adult. all art supplies included.

younger children may be dropped off or parents may stay and work with their child.

adults... if you do not currently have a horse in your life this is a sweet way to get back in touch with them or fall in love for the first time.

We have several trainers we can recommend if you decide that you want riding lessons in the future.

Artist friends - this is a great way to get up close and personal time with some incredible/sassy/adorable/gorgeous creatures in a beautiful lush environment.

My hope is also that we might spur some interest in additional equine art classes and have a few visiting artists come share their visions and techniques.

Horses to me are one of the most beautiful animals on the planet. There are many days I prefer just to sit and watch them graze rather than ride. Getting to know them from the ground up and not just from the saddle has been very satisfying. Their beauty gives me peace.
