I wanted to let you know what we have "Growin" on for January:
Saturday Jan 17th Family Day from 12:30-3:00. pack a picnic lunch or snacks & your camera and come enjoy a sunny day on the farm. All the animals will be out, and our new sheep Nicholas will be arriving! rsvp: TalkToFarmerSue@TheArtBarn.com

Wednesday Jan 21st - Our First Story Time! 10am-12:30 We will read a delightful tale about one of our barnyard buddies and have time to snuggle in with the animals. Saturday Jan. 31st - Our First Introduction to Bee Keeping for Families. 10am-2:00. This class is perfect for individuals or families who would like to find out more about keeping bees. Information is presented in a family friendly manner that both children and adults will enjoy. Introduction to Beekeeping is a three hour class in the basics of beekeeping. The seminar will focus on how to get started keeping your own bees. You will learn about basic bee biology, honeybee behavior, hive parts & equipment, how to set up a new colony, a year in the apiary, feeding honeybees, bee diseases and parasites and much more. We will also have information on the cost of beekeeping equipment and ordering honeybees. The class will be led by certified beekeeper Angie Hagen and beekeeper Chelsea Thomas. Please pack a picnic lunch to enjoy during our break.
Cost: $45 for an individual $20 for 2nd family member $15 for 3rd family member.
